Schönbrunn Village was founded in May 1772 by a Moravian missionary, David Zeisberger, and a group of Delaware Indians. After five years of progress, Schönbrunn was abandoned under the pressure of British and American military conflict. Located near New Philadelphia, it is administered by the Ohio Historical Society.
