The Civil War"Battle Above the Clouds"was fought on the north slope of Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, November 24, 1863. Military artist James Walker witnessed the battle and sketched scenes to render this historically accurate 13'x30'painting. The painting, completed in 1874, is now on public display at the Point Park Visitor Center, Chickamauga-Chattanooga National Military Park,
Lookout Mountain, Tennessee.
