The paddle tug EPPLETON HALL here seen entering San Francisco Bay on her triumphal arrival in March, 1970, was steamed from New- castle-upon-Tyne to San Francisco in 1969-1970 by a crew from the San Francisco Maritime Museum. At the end of the six-month 11,000 mile voyage the vessel, presented captain to the Maritime launched in 101 men Museum her of Trustees.
