SEASHORE TROLLEY MUSEUM Kennebunkport, Maine One of 405 center-entrancemotor cars purchasedby the Boston Elevated Railway between1917 and 1920. Seashore’s No 6270 was built by the Kuhlman Car Company of Cleveland, Ohio in 1918 and was last operated in 1952. These cars, which had a seatingseatingcapacity of 56 butcould carry another 100 as standees were notable for their ability to handle large crowds on the subway and surace routes of teh Boston system. Three hundred, of which 6270 was one, were equipped for operation in two or three car trains.
