MONUMENT TO NATHANIEL GREENE, GUILFORD BATTLE GROUND, GREENSBORO, N. C. General Nathaniel Greene was the leader of the Revolutionary forces against the Eng: lish General Cornwallis, at the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. While this Battle resulted in a retreat by Gen.
