The recently completed tomb of the Unknown Soldier stands in front of the amphitheater in Arlington National Cemetery. On one end of the huge die block of Colorado marble are carved three symbolic figures— Peace, Victory and Valor — commemorative of the spirit of the Allies. On the end facing the amphitheater is an inscription reading,"Here rests in honored glory an American soldier known but to God."'and Lorimer Rich, New York Thomas Hudson Jones, the archite was the sculptor POSEARD PLACE STAMP HERE PUB, BY THE WASHINGTON NEWS COMPANY, WASHINGTON, D.
