There is no indication on the card of location, I do see Helmar Grocery sign there.
I found mention of Helmer Grocery as being one of the grocery stores that was operating in early 20th century Iowa City.
So I went looking for the building and lo and behold it appears to be there! At 1034 N. Summit St Iowa City, IA
According to ouriowaheritage dot com, this store was run by J.A. Helmer and family (Joe Helmer). That must be Joe and his son there on the steps.
lots of interesting signs and items in the windows and a dapper elderly gent with his collie. And note the advertising on each step.
